5. Mountain View Wildcats

Over the past 2 seasons Mountain View has won as many games as any program in the area, finishing 11-2 in both 2021 and 2022. The departure of an extremely talented senior class plus the transfer of UGA commit Kris Jones has a lot of people asking what is in store for this years Wildcats

The offensive side of the ball is where the Wildcats will have to earn their opponents respect. Amazing playmakers like Ike Daniels, Jaiden Fair, Collin Carroll and even backup RB Vincent Bond have all graduated. 3 year starter at Quarterback Jackson Sigler graduated as well. So what's left? Well that's for us to find out, on paper the Wildcats return 4 out of 5 offensive linemen and Mountain View has a good history of finding running Backs in their program. Senior Pierre Harris (WR) got time on both sides of the ball a season ago, expect him to be someone the Wildcats look to for production.

Defensively the Wildcats could have the best unit in the area. Yes even after the transfer of Kris Jones, still on this defense is 3 star Virginia Tech commit Eric Mensah (DL) and a solid core of LBs that include returning starters Nick English (Junior) and Jackson Hamil (Senior). The secondary also has 2 returning senior starters in Etienne Somuah and Amadre Jones. With so many new pieces on offense the defense will likely need to carry this team through some games.

The schedule for Mountain View is a little more difficult than it has been in years past. All of Mountain View's non district opponents made the playoffs a season including Class 6 opponents Patriot, (Regional Finalist) and Centreville (Regional Finalist). For the Wildcats to continue their programs best streak the offense will need to operate ahead of schedule.

Record Projection: 8-2
