6. Louisa Lions

 2021 was not the year we have come to expect from Louisa. First off they didn't win the Jefferson District. They lost a regular season game for the first time since 2016. But when you really think about it, can you really call finishing 9-3 with a trip to the second round of the playoffs a down year? Again for Louisa's standards maybe, but there are several teams that would be overjoyed to have the same year as 2021 Louisa. 

    If the 540 wasn't as top heavy as we expect it to be this season this years Louisa would likely be a top 3 team on this list. We fully expect Louisa to get back to their dominating ways this season. This group is one of the more Senior heavy squads in the area. And we aren't talking about mediocre seniors either. Landon Wilson (QB) and Qwenton Spellman (DE) are two leaders on Offense and Defense respectively. And they both will have plenty of experienced help. Eli Brooks (DE) will likely be on the opposite side of the D-line from Spellman and he is just as big of a threat for an Offensive line to attempt to block. Austin Talley will play a little bit of everywhere Offensively and Defensively he adds some good play making ability to an already loaded defense.  

    When looking at Louisa's schedule match-ups with Massaponax and a surging Albemarle team will likely be their toughest games of the year. If they stay healthy however it should be a fun year for the Lions.
