6. Kettle Run Cougars

With our page deciding to expand to cover the Faquier County school teams, there is one program out there that can not be ignored this upcoming season. The Kettle Run Cougars went undefeated this past spring regular season. and they did it in pretty dominant fashion averaging nearly 39 points per game while only giving up around 10 per game. With that being said this team has lost a few pieces from last years squad. Offensive Coordinator Brian Lowery left to become Head Coach at Eastern View, starting QB Elijah Chumley graduated as did Nick Fasce and Ahmal Williams. But it is a mistake to believe the cupboard is bare for the Cougars. Jordan Tapscott has looked as good as any receiver in the area , Jacob Robinson is a 6'2 WR that can present challenges for several DBs in class 4, and the steady legs of Peyton Mehaffey will provide balance for this experienced roster. This is a team with A LOT of size as well, a quick glance down their roster will show you huge offensive lineman that some Class 5 and Class 6 programs in the are would be jealous of.  This is a group of kids that absolutely love football and are not in business of running from hard work. Don't let their blue-collar mindset fool you though, this is not a slow paced grind the clock out roster, this team will be able to put up a lot of points in a hurry if you are not prepared and with their schedule we feel that this will be a very successful year for the Cougars. Trevor Yergey - Hudl

Record Prediction: 8-2
