Week 5 Top 10

 Disclaimer: This is a list for PUBLIC school teams in the area not private that way we avoid as many Strength of Schedule debates as possible.

THE TOP TEN

10. Courtland Cougars (2-1)

The Cougars return to action after an early bye week to play Culpeper. Look for (RB) Christian Olivella to have a big night on the ground.

9. Massaponax Panthers (2-2)

After 3 weeks of solid defense, the Panthers were stunned and gave up 40 on the road against Matoaca. The challenge won't get any easier this week as the Panthers travel to Mountain View

8. Brooke Point Black-Hawks (2-2)  

A heartbreaking loss at the hands of Eastern View dropped the Black-Hawks to number 8 on our list. Look to see an angry Daniel Coles this week against rival North Stafford.

7. Louisa Lions (2-1)

Lions are still working to maintain the expectations their program has for themselves. this weeks mission is Western Albemarle

6. Riverbend Bears (2-1)

Tough loss for the Bears 2 weeks ago to King George. And now the difficulty actually ramps up a bit a trip to Highland Springs is on the horizon. 

5. Eastern View Cyclones (3-0)

After a heart stopping goaline stand on a 2 point try the Cyclones are 3-0 and all signs point to them competing for the number one seed in the district.

4. Mountain View Wildcats (3-0)

District play begins for the Wildcats after rolling through their first 3 opponents, we'll get a better idea about this group after their match-up against Massaponax

3. Kettle Run Cougars (3-0)

Death, taxes, and Kettle Run lighting up the scoreboard, Skyline come to town this week

2. Colonial Forge Eagles (4-0)

In their first competitive game of the season, the Eagles tightened up and shut out the Patriot Pioneers in the second half. Josiah Bryson leads the area in rushing yards and the defense has been good when they need to close out games.

1. King George Foxes (3-0)

After an early season bye, the Foxes are hoping to keep rolling through the regular season and avoid every good teams hardest opponents, complacency and injurie
