Week 7 Preview

We are now in Week 7! One of our intriguing match-ups has already gone final! But don’t worry we have a quick summary of the game below! Hope everyone can make it to a game tonight!!

       INTRIGUING MATCH-UPS

         #10 Stafford (3-4): 7 at Brooke Point (2-4): 27-------- FINAL

Last night Brooke Point once again flashed their potential. Against a Stafford Indians squad who had dropped two in a row to Colonial Forge and Mountain View, the Black Hawk offense was able to use big plays to give them a 20-0 lead early in the 4th Quarter. The Brooke Point defense seemed to take a bend but don't break philosophy. Stafford was able to get deep into Black Hawks territory on nearly every drive thanks to some hard running from Michael Creamer and nifty playmaking  by Jack Baumgartner. However the Indians were only able to score one Touchdown all game, a 25 yard Touchdown from Baumgartner to Jamison Noil to make the score 20-7. That score only kept the Indians in the game for a short point however, after punting with around 5 minutes remaining Dante Terrell used some good vision to score a 60 yard Touchdown run that essentially iced the game. Stafford takes on rival North Stafford next week while Brooke Point will face Massaponax

                             

#3 Louisa (6-0) at #7 Orange (4-0)  

This could be the best match-up the Jefferson district has to offer this season. We were excited for Orange vs Albemarle last week however it was not to be. This week we will see a Louisa team that has dominated their schedule up to this point. Savion Hiter has been a phenomenal freshman carrying the ball for the Lions so far this year. And those that were expected to dominate like Landon Wilson have. On the other side is Orange who is trying to get to 5-0 for the first time since 2005. They will most likely depend on their ground game in order to do so. Both of these teams have cruised to this point fairly unchallenged both will likely get their first taste of adversity tonight.

Prediction: Louisa 35 Orange 16
