2. King George Foxes

To be honest our top 3 is pretty neck and neck. I truly believe all 3 have a legitimate claim to be number 1. For King George the Foxes are probably returning the most of any team on our list on both sides of the ball. And for a team that put up the amount of points they did a season ago and shut out as many teams that they did a season ago, that should concern KG's opponents this season.

Let's start on the offensive side of the ball the Foxes very well could be the most complete offense in the area. Future Power 5 WRs Mekhai White and Chanz Wiggins don't need an introduction, Mauricio Blanco would be a number 1 WR for almost anyone else in 540. Aydin Woolfolk returns and can find the holes as well as any RB in the area, and while the KG Offensive Line is not huge there are no slouches out there. To make matters even better they have a returning QB who has settled nicely as QB1

Defensively a season ago this unit shut out 4 of their opponents. Of course this season Kyle Reviello won't be taking the field however don't let that fool you into thinking the defense will take a step back. First off at LB the Foxes are long and rangy with all 3 starting LBs being 6'1 or taller Mekhai White and Chanz Wiggins will both use their incredible athleticism and ball skills in the secondary. and in the trenches the foxes are no joke. Good luck putting up points against this unit.

When looking at KG's schedule after their first 2 games against 2 solid programs in Lafayette and Massaponax it's looking like a schedule that KG should be comfortable with outside of #10 James Monroe and #7 Eastern View there are no teams in that stretch that are in the top 10, yet... Barring any injuries or meteoric rises by one of the squads on their schedule, they'll have a chance to run the table and hopefully host a team like Varina deep in the playoffs.
