1. Mountain View Wildcats

Mountain View saw it''s best season in program history end in anti-climatic fashion last November in Ashburn against Stone Bridge. Leaving a feeling that I'm sure has motivated their players this off-season. On paper this is a team that is as dangerous as any team in Northern Virginia.

Offensively the Wildcats return most of the pieces last year that saw them light up the scoreboard a season ago. Jackson Sigler (Our Number 1 player a season ago) Lit up secondaries with 33 TDs and only 4 Interceptions. Who was catching those passes? Just guys like JMU commit Collin Carroll and Jaiden Fair 2 guys who will also return this season. As far as the running back position goes I certainly hope that you haven't forgotten that Ike Daniels returns for them as well. Offensive line wise there are only 2 returning starters but the unit looks a little beefier than they were a season ago. if this unit stays healthy they'll be hard out based off of scoring alone.

It seems that people have their concerns about MV's defense. So I'd like to take the time to remind people that there are 2 D-1 prospects in Kris Jones and Eric Mensah on this side of the ball. Not to mention the addition of 2021 Battlefield district 2nd Teamer Albert Scott entering the fray. I'm fairly confident those pieces alone will make it difficult for teams to score on them. Through 2 scrimmages the newer pieces seemed to hold up fairly well one of those scrimmages so happened to be against the number 2 team on on our list by the way. A piece that isn't new is Etienne Somuah at CB a Junior that played the role nicely a season ago.  I believe this unit will be just fine going forward.

Taking a glance at their schedule Forest Park and Gar-Field will both give the Wildcats decent looks, those contests will really set the tone for how good this Wildcat bunch really is. 2 weeks later a trip to Maury Stadium against JM is always an interesting test for a team and then of course the Commonwealth district gauntlet. Expectations have been high at Mountain View before but maybe not THIS high, in our opinion the Wildcats have the highest ceiling in the 540.
